Women Worth Knowing

Everyone is worth knowing.

Worth Knowing--You

Welcome to the Women Worth Knowing Project.

We exist to highlight productive, successful women, who are making an impact on the world around them. Whether globally, or in the next room, the women you meet here are making the world a better place.

WWK Charitable Outreach

Every Quarter, the Women Worth Knowing Project will focus on a charity for outreach.  50% of all proceeds from Lane's cafepress store The Outside Lane, will go toward that outreach.

Through July 31, we are supporting The Senior Source, and will collect donations at our August 20th meeting, for an August 22 delivery to the Senior Source.

Our goal is to collect 100 pair of socks for The Senior Source, to provide toasty toes for needy, frail elderly in our community.  We want to warm up soles and souls, by reminding Seniors who may feel alone and isolated, that there are people out there who love and think of them.

We now accept donations through Paypal, and will be quarterly accountable for providing receipts showing how all monies are used.  If you would like to participate, but do not wish to make a donation, or are unable to attend a WWK meeting to drop off your donation, please support your local organization and let us know what you did, or shop in The Outside Lane's cafe press store, where 50% of all profits go to the WWK charitable outreach.

Through April 30, we are supporting the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center, and will collect donations at our May 21 meeting, for a May 23rd delivery to the DARCC.

Our goal is to collect 100 pairs of underwear for the DARCC, to help victims of sexual assault.  When a woman, girl, man, or boy report being sexually assaulted, frequently their underwear are taken as evidence.  The DARCC gives those people fresh clothes, including new underwear.  We want to help them do that.

From May 1 through July 31, we will be supporting the Senior Source, a local organization that caters to senior citizens.  Look for more information to come.

We do not accept cash donations.  If you would like to participate, but are unable to attend a WWK meeting to drop off your donation, please support your local organization and let us know what you did, or shop in The Outside Lane's cafe press store, where 50% of all profits go to the WWK charitable outreach.
